BT Construct Aldgate

Warm, open and elegant is how we would describe this amazing project at Aldgate in the Adelaide Hills. 

 
The floorplan has been architecturally designed to take advantage of the client’s wonderful view. By using ArborCrest’s large commercial fixed Windows, the designer has allowed the surroundings to feel like they engage with the home. 

ArborCrest has used custom-made hinged doors and sliding doors for the access and entertaining points of this home and Awning, Sashless and fixed aluminium windows for the remainder. All products were manufactured using ArborCrest Commercial frames, which allowed our clients to have larger than normal size fixed windows, without compromising the integrity of the build. Also, the use of double glazed glass units will provide this home with optimum energy efficient benefits in both summer and winter and as the new trend is less brick, more glass, it is becoming vitally important to consider the best quality glass of most other finishings.

The large corner windows are an important feature in this home and can be found in the main habitable areas. This silicone glazed method allows for large windows without the framework, giving an uninterrupted 180-degree view.
The owners opted for a natural anodised frame, which gives an effortless, natural feel when teamed with the other natural timber and stone finishes in this home. The raw finish to the aluminium window frames also compliments the rawness of the hills environment and is very subtle on the eye, rather than making a statement it feels like this home has always been there.

The Architect chose to use ArborCrest’s Commercial Multistacking Door style in the Kitchen. This product allows maximum panel size, with minimal metal work. Our Stacker door opens the kitchen up to the balcony, creating an extended entertaining space, and smooth transition between inside and out.
