The project involved a three level, plus basement, solid block home construction. This home was designed to have a contemporary and glamorous feel. The most important task was to keep the beautiful finishes as the focal point, and have the windows and doors compliment the client’s lifestyle and without compromising on the vision for their dream home. 

 

Externally all windows and doors were a powder coat finish and glazed in 24mm Insulated glass units. Because of the westerly front aspect of the home, the glass units comprised high performance Double glazed Energy Tech Low e glass with Argon fill for maximum thermal performance both summer and winter. It also provides clear viewing to maximise the fantastic location and stunning views. 

 

We were able to use ‘VivicaPeladium Silver’ which resembles a natural anodised finish, allowing the clients to have a contemporary look that complimented the rest of their home, without compromising on the wear and longevity of their products. 

 

Bifold doors were the perfect choice to accompany this seaside home. All bifold doors feature heavy duty Centor S/steel hardware and Lockwood Australian made locksto support the harsh seaside environment. Using bifold doors in the living areas have given the clients a seamless flow, ultimately giving them the a functional entertaining space, with the flexibility to float between inside and out. 

 

All sliding doors feature double axle 100kg rollers along with 316 Marine grade S/steel pull handles and double glazed energy efficient glass. They also feature Invisigard 316 Marine grade S/steel security doors. 

 

All external windows and doors were installed and insulated with a high density, low compression expanding foam coupled with a sikaflex external barrier. 

 

Madinoz stainless steel hardware was utilised throughout the project for all external and internal pulls. 

 

Internal cavity sliding and top hung doors feature HafeleSlido Classic system with soft close technology. Internal sliding doors were a great way to keep things simple, and keep the décor the main feature in the foyer. The Sliding doors, allow a sense of privacy and noise reduction without obstructing the views of the beautiful finishes within the house. The large foyer door was 2.8 high x 2.1 wide and weighed 180kg.
